WIF starts with sale of residential portfolio
4 June 2014
Property fund Wooninvesteringsfonds (WIF) starts with the sale of a housing portfolio of 3,848 units across the Netherlands. Capital Value will supervise the sales.
The portfolio consists of 114 complexes with a total of 3,848 homes, of which 1,975 are single-family dwellings, 1,873 are multi-family dwellings and 13 are commercial spaces.
Interested parties are invited to issue a bid before Wednesday 3 September 2014 at 16.00 p.m. Although Wooninvesteringsfonds’ preference is for bids on the entire portfolio, offers on individual complexes will be considered.
According to Managing Director of Capital Value, Marijn Snijders, "Never before has there been so much demand from both Dutch and foreign investors for this type of housing portfolio. This trend has been verified in various studies demonstrating that a record-breaking amount is available for investment in Dutch rented housing. The market demand is high, so the Wooninvesteringsfonds sales come at an opportune time."
About Wooninvesteringsfonds
Located in Zeist, Wooninvesteringsfonds was founded in 2005 to purchase portfolios from housing associations, split them, and sell the parts. There are multiple options available to associations for selling off complexes, thanks to the new government policy. WIF is a so-called 'admitted institution'.
